At the Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council, our partners are constantly looking for ways to serve you better with added services and extended hours as opportunities become available. Below you will see a summary of the most recent progress:

  • Curtis V. Cooper Primary Health Care has added a pediatrician on staff this month, with a second pediatrician expected in September 2009. These physicians will add new opportunities for your children to get the care they need. Join us in welcoming them to Savannah and to the Safety Net family of providers!
  • Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council has received a grant through the Georgia Cancer Coalition and the Southeast Georgia Cancer Alliance to provide much needed colon cancer screening to the uninsured in Chatham County. This grant is part of a regional effort to provide colon cancer education and screening throughout the area.
  • The Chatham C.A.R.E. Clinic has a new home next to J.C. Lewis Health Center
