Chatham County SafetyNet Planning Council

March 2010

Dear Visitors-

At the Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council, our partners are constantly looking for ways to serve you better with added services and extended hours as opportunities become available.  Below you will see a summary of the most recent changes and progress:

  • Curtis V. Cooper Primary Health Care has closed its location in Hitch Village due to the demolition of the building. The location has been removed from the website and the Healthcare Resources brochure. Both the East Broad Street and Roberts Street locations remain open for your healthcare needs. For more information and appointments at the East Broad Street location, call 912-527-1000. For appointments at the Roberts Street location, call 912-527-1100.

  • Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council is proud to announce that Chatham County has been named one of six Counties of Excellence in 2010 by Georgia Trend Magazine and the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia.  The award was given for Chatham County's commitment to provide healthcare for the uninsured through the Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council. The memo from Chatham County Manager, Mr. Russ Abolt congratulating the County Commission and a copy of the article in Georgia Trends magazine can be found under "In the News."
