Enrollment and Renewal Assistance for PeachCare for Kids/Medicaid for Children and the Affordable Care Act’s Health Insurance Marketplace

FREE in-person, enrollment and renewal assistance for PeachCare for Kids and Medicaid for children and the Affordable Care Act’s Health Insurance Marketplace is available at the Bull Street Public Library, 2002 Bull Street, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 5:00PM-8:00PM (Please arrive by 7:30PM).

The Campaign for Healthy Kids’ enrollment assistance partner, Memorial University Medical Center will provide enrollment assistance on a first come, first served basis for parents or legal guardians for children ages 0-19. If you are unable to attend the event, you may call them directly at 912-350-0317.

Open Enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace begins November 1, 2015! ACA Navigator teams from Curtis V. Cooper Primary Health, Inc., 912-527-1000, and J.C. Lewis Primary Health Center, 912-721-6726, will have Certified Navigators to help enroll adults ages 19-64 on a first come, first served basis.

Screening for health coverage for children ages 0-19 through the Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids programs, information on the Affordable Care Act frequently asked questions for 2016; (e.g. Who qualifies?, Who is exempt from enrolling? How much is the tax penalty? etc.) and help with finding the appropriate health plan that fits consumer preferences, (e.g. doctor, hospital, prescription drug coverage etc.) will be provided by Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council, a non-profit organization that serves uninsured and underinsured adults and children in Chatham County with help accessing enrollment assistance in health insurance coverage and healthcare for citizens who do not qualify for health insurance programs.

Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council is available to visit a workplace, school, church or community event offering onsite enrollment for children through the Campaign for Healthy Kids and/or information and screening help for the Health Insurance Marketplace.
