Savannah Volunteer Dental Clinic is a dedicated group of volunteers from the dental community seeking to provide the unmet dental needs in vulnerable populations.
Services are for children ages 3-18, not covered by Federal, State, or private dental insurance and who meet income eligibility requirements.
SVDC provides preventive services such as:
- Fluoride treatments, and sealants
- Basic restorative services such as fillings and simple extractions
Household income must not exceed the 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG). For example, a family of four can make $47,700 combined income annually, or $3975 monthly. There is no charge for services.
All new patients will complete new-patient paperwork including income verification, health history, HIPPA Privacy Agreement, dental consent form, and photo/social media release form. Forms must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. Proof of income is not required at the time of application, however SVDC reserves the right to ask for verification at any time. By signing the documents, parents attest the income amount they have provided is lawful and true. New patients will be given an oral assessment, cleaning and preventative treatment, a treatment plan (if needed) and thorough home care instructions.
Follow up visits may be scheduled at the conclusion of the initial appointment. Our program stresses the importance of long-term dental health care that begins with implementing good oral hygiene habits for the entire family.
Please call the clinic 912.429.8368 to make an appointment. Please speak slowly and clearly. Leave your full name, your child’s name and age, and a good contact number that has a voicemail. Be patient as all calls will be returned. It may take up to a week for a volunteer to return your call due to our high call volume. Please do not leave multiple messages or incomplete information.
